Shimla, July 12
Indian Meterlogical Department has projected heavy to very heavy Monsoon rain in some places of Himachal Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday.
Head of Department and Director of Shimla Met OfficeSurender Paul said that state is witnessing active to vigorous monsoon conditions prevailing in HP during past 24 hrs.
He said that heavy to very heavy rainfall was reported in district Kangra as Dharmshala recorded 392 mm rain in past 24hrs.
“Dharmshala got 181 mm from till 0830 hrs and continued till evening with 211 mm of rainfall,” he added.
These conditions with heavy to very heavy fall likely to continue in Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi, Bilaspur, Shimla, Sirmaur and solan during next 48 hrs or so and then may decrease afterwards.
These conditions may trigger land lides , inudations in low lying area, runoff in nullah and streams and disruptions of civic ammunities etc. Request to kindly take adequate safety measures, he warned.
