Shimla, Jul 2
Tandi  Bandh Sangarash Simiti sought FIR against one Dr Madhav Murari for collecting samples of soils from Goshal village of Lahaul Spiti without the consent of Gram Panchayat.
A complaint addressed to Superintendent of Police Keylong alleged that one suspected person identified as Dr Madhav Murari collected samples of soils from Goshal village recently without taking permission from local administration and Gram Panchayat.
104 mega watt Hydro-power project is proposed in this area as it was allotted to Satluj Jal Vidhut Nigim Limited (SJVNL) which is being vehemently opposed the local people including all concerned Gram Panchayat in the up and downstream of this area.
The diversion dam of this project was projected to be built in the revenue estate of Tandi and Goshal village and no firm and company could do any activity in this areas without taking consent of Gram Sabha under Panchayati Raj Act.
Under the constitutional provision and Panchayat (Schedule Area extension) Act 1996 the concerned Gram Sabha have jurisdiction of Revenue Authority including Natural resources specially water, Forest Soil. The action committee sought FIR under sec 447 of IPC and SC/ST prevention of atrocities act 2015. A video clipping of this incidents is also sent to district police chief in this regard.
