Shimla, Feb 15
Under the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networking System, three Police Station of Himachal Pradesh secured saffron ranking in the country after registering more than fifty FIRs in fourth quarter last year.
State police spokesperson said in a press release that Police Station Boilueganj or West Shimla got 27.45 marks, Dhalli PS- 27.39 marks and Sundernagar(Mandi) 24.86 marks in the top saffron CCTNS ranking. All police stations registered more than 59 FIRs thus figuring in the Saffron ranking.
Similarly Rohru(Shimla), Manali(Kullu ( and Kandaghat (Solan) PS got 24.95, 24.87 & 24.59 marks, white CCTNS ranking after registering FIRs in between 20 to 50 number.
Jubbal (Shimla), Kunihar (Solan) and Chhota Shimla) police station secured second position with 24.84, 23.31 and 22.82 marks with registration of upto 20 FIRs in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The main aim of the CCTNS is to provide comprehensive and integrated system for effective policing through e-Governance. It is implemented by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and the project comes under the National eGovernance plan (NeGP) of the Government of India.
