The Police nabbed two more accused in the stone pelting case after booking eight people, charging them for attempt to murder, damaging public property & preventing public officials to perform the , two FIR were registered against them in police station Bioleaganj here on Mar 16, police Chief Shimla Monika Bhutunguru said in a press statement issued here today.
She said that Pawan Kumar (32) and Devinder Singh (42), hails to Sangrah of Sirmour of Himachal were arrested on Mar 19 and also sent in Police custody for three days who were produced in court in Sunday, Eight People were charged for an Illegal demonstration which was organized by Devbhoomi Kshatriya Sangathan & Devbhoomi Swarna Morcha in Shimla on Mar 16. Six other accuseds including Mahinder Singh(46), Dinesh Kumar (46) of Solan district, Amar Chand Rathore (45) Shimla, Mahinder Kumar (39)Mandi Vijay Kumar (36) and Rajinder (43) of Shimla district are already in five day police custody. Eight person are accused for stone pelting on the police personnel and inflicting injuries on five including Additional Superintendent of Police Shimla Sushil Kumar Thakur.
She said that an Illegal demonstration was organised by Devbhoomi Kshatriya Sangathan & Devbhoomi Swarna Morcha in Shimla on March 16. Two FIRs has been registered against the protestor(FIR No. 66 /22) under section 147, 148, 149, 341, 353, 332, 307 IPC & 3 of the prevention of damage to public property act and (FIR No. 67/22) u/s 147, 148, 149, 341, 188 IPC & 3 of the prevention of damage to public property act. Further investigation is going on. Protesters were demanding constitution of Swaroon Ayog for general categories in the state and demanding legislation. State Government already constitued the Samanya varag Ayog on the line of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat BJP Government however the protesters are not happy with the move. After the violance in Mar 16, agitation divided into two camps as one of the camp decided to fight Assembly Election under the new outfit of Devbhoomi Kshatriya Sangathan & Devbhoomi Swarna Morcha however another camp is demanding constitution of Swaroon Ayog.
