Unprecedented heavy rainfall in many places of Mahala Developmental block in
Goonairdh and Jalor gram panchayat wreak havoc early this morning causing loss to the crops, public and private property.
A report coming here said that cloud bursting rain wreak havoc in many villages of Chamba district in Mahal developmental block at 0700 hrs as flash flood and boulders rolled down the by the flooded water burrying ripen wheat and other Rabi Crop of many villages, water rushed into the houses of people.
The flash flood and landslide blocked the Chamba-Bharmour national highway where e vehicular traffic got blocked. A a car could be seen burying in the muck and boulders in a nalah after the flashflood. Inflated Nalah suddenly swollen in the area wreaking havoc to the public and private property. Many walking path and link road cave in by the rushing water in the sloped areas damage public and private property.
Rainfall recorded
Met Office recorded 47 mm rainfall in Pandoh in Mandi district, Kotkhai had 39 mm, Kumersen 31 mm, Palampur 22 mm, Bijahi 19 mm, Janjehli in Mandi and Gaggal in Kangra 18 mm each, Mandi, 16 mm, Baldwara and Karsog 15 mm, Khadrala in Shimla ten mm, Gohar in Mnadi nine mm, Baijnath in Kangra eight mm, Dalhousie in Chamba six mm, Dharmshala in Kangra, Jubbarhati and Sarahan in Shimla four mm and Jogindernagar in Mandi three mm.

Dark cloud is hovering over the sky could bring more rain or snowfall in next 24 hrs. The western disturbances likely to bring more rain or snowfall in next few days as Met Office forecast rain or thunder shower or snowfall in few places of the state.
Minimum temperatures
Minimum temperature remained one to two degrees below normal owing the the unseasonal rain or snowfall. Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was seven degree Celsius, Kalpa in Kinnuar 7.2 degrees , Shimla 14.6 degrees and Manali 13.6 degrees each Bhuntar 17 degrees, Sunderngar 16.9 degrees, Dharamshala 17 degrees, Una 24.2 degrees, Nahan 20.2 degrees, Palampur 15 degrees, Kangra 19.4 degrees, Mandi 16 degrees, Chamba 18.6 degrees, Bilaspur 22 degrees, Hamirpur 22.8 degrees, Dalhousie 12 degrees and Kufri 10.9 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast rain or thundershower in few places in the mid and isolated places in the high reaches and foot hills in next 24 hrs.
Yellow Warning
Yellow warning of Thunderstorm, lightening and gusty winds with wind speed of 30 to 40 km per hours has been made in isolated places in the mid and foothills.
