Acting on a viral video showing a biker and scooty rider performing dangerous stunts and riding rashly on public roads in Sanjauli, Dhalli, and Malyana areas of NH-05, the Shimla Police have registered a case and initiated action against the accused.
According to a statement issued by the Shimla Police, the video, which surfaced on social media platforms, depicted the rider endangering the lives and safety of other road users. Following verification, an FIR No. 18/2025 under Sections 281 and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Police Station Sanjauli.
Adding further details, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that strict action will be taken against the accused rider to set an example for others. “Such reckless and life-threatening driving will not be tolerated. Shimla Police are committed to maintaining road safety and enforcing traffic discipline in the city,” he stated.
He also appealed to the youth to avoid stunt riding and rash driving on public roads, warning that violators would face heavy fines and legal consequences.
The Shimla Police reaffirmed their commitment to uphold traffic laws and ensure the safety of all citizens.
