As many as 24 candidates have filed their nomination papers for bye elections of Mandi Parliamentary Constituency and Arki, Fatehpur and Jubbal- Kotkhai Assembly Constituencies to be held on 30 October. In all nine candidates filed their nominations on Thursday, while 15 on Friday, on the last day of nominations.
A spokesperson of Election Department said here on Friday that eight candidates from Mandi Parliamentary Constituency, seven candidates from Fatehpur AC, four candidates from Arki AC and five candidates from Jubbal- Kotkhai Assembly Constituency have filed their nomination papers.
Khushal Chand and Priyanta Sharma as Bhartiya Janta Party candidates, Munshi Ram Thakur as Himachal Jankranti Party candidate, Pratibha Singh and Sunder Singh Thakur as Indian National Congress candidates, Ambika Shyam as Rashtriya Lok Neeti Party candidate, Subhash Mohan Snehi and Anil Kumar as Independent candidates filed their nomination papers for bye election of Mandi Parliamentary Constituency.
In district Solan, Sanjay and Satish Kumar Kashyap as Indian National Congress candidate, Rattan Singh Pal as BJP candidate and Jeet Ram as Independent candidate have filed their nomination papers for Arki Assembly Constituency.
In district Kangra, Dr. Ashok Kumar Somal and Rajan Sushant as Independent candidates, Bhawani Singh Pathania and Jeet Kumar as Indian National Congress candidates, Pankaj Kumar as Himachal Jankranti Party candidate, Baldev Thakur as BJP candidate and Prem Chand as Independent candidate filed their nomination papers from Fatehpur Assembly Constituency.
In district Shimla, Rohit Thakur as Congress candidate, Neelam Seraik as BJP candidate and Suman Kadam, Chetan Singh Bragta and Kewal Ram Negi as Independent candidates have filed their nomination papers from Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly Constituency.
