Himachal Pradesh registered 42 new cases of Covid 19 as 31 new cases were traced in Hamirpur, six in Kangra and five in Solan district.
Additional Chief Secretary Health and Nodal Officer R D Dhiman confirmed that in last 24 hrs 42 new cases increased the tally to 152 including 90 active.
Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur Harikesh Meena said that with 31 new cases in the district total number of cases increased to 46 in the district today including 41 active cases.
This is for the first time since the outbreak of Corona that such massive number of cases have been reported in a single day.
He said that while five cases were found in the morning hours, five came up in the afternoon and another six in late afternoon hours and 15 more in the night hour raising today’s detection figure to 31.
He said that positive cases were being admitted at various Covid centers of the district for isolation and treatment.
He appealed to the people not to be panicky and help the positive cases to recover by giving them their blessings and moral support.
Most patients have return history from Mumbai and were already keept in institution quarantine.
The 6 tested positive at kangra today including , 41 year female from Adhwani near Jwalamukhi, 54 year driver from Saliali tehsil Nurpur, 24 years male from tehsil Indora, 21 year male from Nagrota Bhagwan, 57 year Male from Jaisinghpur and a 36 year male from Bhawarna in the distrcit.
The 5 cases tested positive in Solan are from Ramshehr of Solan and had returned from West Bengal on May 15.
Dhiman said that most of the cases found positive (Barring few exceptions) are reportedly Mumbai returneesl
Now total number of cases increased to 46 in Hamirpur District with 41 active , 41 in Kangra including 32 active, ,Una 19 with two active cases, Solan 14 and five active cases, Chamba 13 with three active cses, Bilaspur seven with five active cases, Mandi six with four active cases, Sirmaur four with two active cases, Kullu one with one active cases and Shimla one with no active cases.
With this total active cases have increased to 90 , State recorded three deaths and 55 patients have recovered so far in the state.
