The state Administration spokesperson confirmed that five persons died, and three others were injured in a separate road mishap in Chamba and Simrour districts. Three persons died two others sustained injuries in a car mishap that occurred Chamba-Jot Road under Sadar police station in Himachal Pradesh, confirmed a police officer. An Alto car carrying five persons fell into a deep gorge while negotiating a sharp curve at the Balwa area on Chamba- Jot road, four km away from Chamba town, around 6:00 am on Monday. A rescue team was rushed to the spot from Sadar police station. The crew evacuated the dead body of three persons on the spot. At the same time, two injured were hospitalised at Medical College Hospital Chamba. The deceased, identified as Lal Hussain (30), Muhammad Rashid(30) and Fateh Mohammad (52), all belonged Chamba district.
Bodies were sent for postmortem in Chamba Hospital.
Two persons died in Rohnat area of the Shillai Subdivision of Sirmour district, and one ooperson sustained injuries when a tractor lost balance and fell down the road. The deceased is identified as Gaurav( 25 ) and Monu(26) deceased belonged to UP. One wis injured in the mishap Hospital admitted to Shialli Hospital.
