Chief Minister JaiRam Thakur in media statement here said that to maintain adequate supply of commodities, transportation of all goods without distinction of essential and non-essential has been allowed in the State.He said that ration and medical facilities are being provided to the people to minimize their movement. He said that home delivery of goods through volunteers has been started to help people remain home.
Thakur added that as per Government of India guidelines, the funds released under State Disaster Response Fund may now be utilized for provision of food for people stranded in lockdown, which was used earlier for disaster related activities and the related instructions have been passed to district administration.
He said that to ensure necessary arrangements for migrant labourers stranded due to lockdown, district wise integrated report has been prepared. He said that a total of 6,943 labourers came in different villages of Himachal Pradesh after February 15, 2020 but no one was found to carry symptoms of infection due to Covid-19. He said that free ration has been distributed to 9,629 migrant laborers and staying arrangements by different Panchayats have been done for 1,735 migrant labourers.
