26 fresh cases of Novel CoronaVirus including five ITBP jawans were found in the state and 42 recovered on Wednesday taking the tally of pandemic in the hill state to 979 , the government official confirmed. Additional Chief Secretary Health and Nodal Officer of COVID-19 R D Dhiman said that six found positive in Una, five each in Hamirpur
Kangra and Kinnaur and two in Mandi, one each, Sirmaur and Lahaul Spiti district increasing the tally to 979.
He said that 42 patients recovered from the disease on Wednesday as 17 people found negative in Hamirpur, Seven in Una, Six in Kangra, one each in Chamba, Mandi , Solan district . Now total number cured increased to 617 and active 341 in the state.
Una
Among the new positive cases in Una are, a 51yrs old man belonged to Santokhgarh of Una, returned from Delhi recently two women (sibling) of 29 yrs and 25 yrs old, belonged to Chanderlok Colony of Una town, returned from Noida and 31yrs old woman, belonged to Ambota of Gagret area returned from the Delhi (all women were institutional quarantine).
Hamirpur
Among the two people tested positive in Hamirpur are 40 yrs old man belonged to village Ser- Mahal, returned from Gurugram and in institutional quarantine in Bhoranj. 72 yrs old man of Sasan village of Jhaniari aera, returned from Ghaziabad( home quarantine). They are being shifted to DCC centre after confirmation for the pandemic.
Kangra
He said that a 33 yrs old man resident of village Kehrian and a 21 yrs old man resident of village Dehri the two Army personnel belonged to Jawali area of Kangra district returned from Delhi on Jun 26, 2020.(HQ), 40 yr old man resident of village Bharmar of Jawali with travel history from Uttar Pradesh on Jun 22, Factory Supervisor) (IQ Nirankari Bhawan Jawali) a 68 year old and 73 yrs old man both resident of Village Ghumala near Ranital. (Contact of positive cases) tested positive, Three shifted to Military Hospital Yol Ca, Two at DCHC Dharmshala and one at DCCC Dadh.
Earlier today a 65 yrs old woman belonged to village Kuthera of Palampur, returned from Delhi on Jun 16, also tested positive being shifted to MH Palampur.
Mandi
46 yrs old woman and her 20 yrs old son ( wife and son of a positive patients) belonged to Machkhed area of Joginder nagar in Mandi distirct found positive.
Kinnaur
Subdivisional Magistrate Kalpa Dr Major Arvind Kumar said that five ITBP Jawan found positive who were institutional quarantine at Recong Peo. He said that Jawan were contracted due to community spread of Covid-19 as most of them were completed their isolation. Entire ITBP Batallion in Reckong-Peo was converted into containment zone and it has been sealed. These Jawan were returned to their Battalion after the leave recently.
Scores district wise
Tally mounted to 110 in Una district with six new cases, including 25 active and 85 cured, with five cases.
278 in Kangra, 109 active and 167 cured, 250 in Hamirpur with five cases including 87 active & 161 cured, 13 in Kinnuar district with five new cass today, including 10 active and three recovered, 32 in Mandi with two new cases, including eight active and 22 cured, 39 in Sirmaur with one case, nine-active and 23-cured, Three in Lahaul Spiti with one case including three active no cured and 110 in Solan with one case including 50 active and 56 recovered respectively.
State recorded eight deaths so far including two each Kangra, Hamirpur, Shimla and Mandi district.
