The Covid-19 tally is over 1000 mark as 31 news cases are reported on Thursday. The total 1011 in Himachal Pradesh include Indo-Tibet Border Police jawan (ITBP), senior Government officers confirmed today.
Additional Chief Secretary Health & Nodal Officer of Covid-19 R D Dhiman said that with 31 new cases the novel CoronaVirus tally increased to 1011 including 359 active cases and 629 recovered.
He said that 12 recovered today. He said that 17 people tested positive in Kinnuar , Six in Shimla and three in Hamirpur . three in Hamirpur, two in Kangra and one each in Bilaspur, Lahaul Spiti and Mandi district.
Kinnaur
Five  Jawan of ITBP had contracted on Wednesday 17 more ITBP Jawan tested positive for Novel Corona Virus on Thursday. With this number of nCoV cases mounted to 22 in ITBP Jawan.Tally increased to 30 in the tribal  district including active 27 cases .
Superintendent of Police Kinnuar S R Rana confirmed that samples of 59 jawan of ITBP camping were
drawn on 30 Jun out of which report 17 tested positive Thursday while five found positive on Wednesday.
The victims returned from Srinagar recently were kept at Jungi in institutional quarantine. They belonged
to 43-ITBP Battalion Jeori .
After the recovery of more cases in the centre, the entire Jungi Camp area of ITBP Kinnuar converted into a containment zone sealing the entire area including the movement of vehicles.
Now three containment area have been declared in Bhavnagar, Reckong-Peo and Jungi . Â Â
District administration Kinnaur confirmed that report of 219 were expected soon. Currently about
481 people are in home quarantine, 50 institutional  quarantine five in Dedicated Covid care centre
and 22( ITBP jawan) in Home isolation. Â
Shimla
Similarly in Shimla district six ITBP jawan also found positive as three jawan hailed to Rajasthan and two of Gujarat and one of Bihar they are of 25 to 55 age group. All the Six Jawan tested positive belonged to 43-ITBP Battalion
Jeori all were in institutional Quarantine Jeori.
Total cases mounted to 47 in Shimla including 21 active and recovered. two died in the district. Â
Hamirpur
While three new CORONA infected persons were detected, the number of cured patients reached 166 with five old patients found cured today.
This was stated here today by a spokesman of the health department.
Those found positive today were: A 48 years Female from Bani village of Barsar and had returned from Delhi. She was under institutional quarantine at Mahre; a 78 years Male of, Taringar village of Kot and was the contact of a Covid-19 patient.
She was under home quarantine but was found positive today and another 59 years Male from, Bharnang village of Hamirpur. He had returned from Ludhiana and was under home quarantine.
With this, the total number of positive persons in the district has risen to 253 including 85 active cases. Now the number of total cured cases was 166 and two dead.
The spokesman said that all the seventeen persons who were cured yesterday were sent to their homes today by the authorities.
Deputy Commissioner, Harikesh Meena wished them a happy life and told them to abide by the government instructions and observe Home quarantine for fourteen days.
