Thunderstorm, lightening and high speed gusty winds along with rainshower lashed many parts of
Himachal Pradesh early Saturday.
The Met office said that Light to moderate thundershowers with lighting along with 40 to 50 km per hours hit many parts of Solan, Sirmaur, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Mandi, Shimla and adjoining places of Kullu and Kinnaur from 0230 hrs to 0530 hrs on Saturday disrupting power supply.
The roaring sound of high speed gusty winds and thunderstorms also created the furry as it continued for one hour. After the thunderstorm Solan,Sirmaur and Shimla districts also witnessed a intense rain showers for two hours.
Met Office recorded 43 mm rain at Pandoh, Bijahi in Hamirpur 40 mm, Jatton Barrage in Sirmaur 36 mm, Paonta 33 mm, Mandi 32 mm, Narkanda in Shimla 28 mm, Kumarsain 25 mm, Rampur 24 mm, Pachhad in Sirmaur & Jubal Hatti in Shimla 22 mm each, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 21 mm, Kandaghat in Solan 20 mm, Rohru and Kotkhai in Shimla and Bilaspur 18 mm. Rainfall also occurred Khadrala in Shimla 18 mm each, Renuka in Sirmaur 17 mm, Karsog, Sundernagar in Mandi, Palampur, in Kangra, Kufri, Shimla, Kasauli in Shimla & Bajaura in Kullu 15 mm each, Bharmour in Chamba, Nahan in Sirmaur 12 mm each.
Maximum temperature of Una was 38 degree Celsius, Bilaspur 35 degrees, Hamirpur 34.8 degrees Kangra 34.2 degrees, Chamba 34.1 degrees, Sundernagar 33.9 degrees, Bhuntar 32.8 degrees, Solan 30.5 degrees, Nahan 29 degrees
Dharmshala 28.2 degrees, Shimla 24.8 degrees, Kalpa 22.6 degrees, Keylong 23.6 degrees and Dalhousie 21.4 degrees .
The Met Office has issued a orange warning of Heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds ( 30-40 kmph) for Kangra,Solan and Sirmaur district in next 24 hrs.
A Yellow warning of Heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely at isolated places of Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi Shimla district.
The forecast of widespread rainfall is made for the mid and foot hills in the next 24 hrs.
