Incessant rains have been causing havoc in the hill state as overflowing of Bhaga river in Lahaul area of the district has caused a flash flood in Dracha area.
Bhaga river originates from the base of Baralacha pass from Surajtal. As per information provided by Police check post Darcha in Lahaul Sub Division (Lahaul & Spiti District), on Tuesday around 6:15PM, water level in Bhaga river increased considerably due to heavy rainfall, impacting three shops nearby the river bank. All the people having homes lying near the river bank have been safely evacuated by the Police personnel of Darcha Check Post.
Police Personnel of various units are monitoring the situation and sending back tourists to safe location, informed authorities.
Traffic movement has been stopped in safe places.

NH 003 will be blocked for next 12 hours, as the conditions are not safe for road clearance at the moment. Ladakh bound traffic is being sent back to Manali.
Earlier in the day a running car was hit by a bolder injuring one person in Kangra. On Sunday nine tourist were killed and three injured when boulder came down a hill due to landslide in Kinnaur district.
