Central Drug Standard Control Organisation has permitted Shri Lal Bahadur Medical College Nerchowk near Mandi district to use plasma therapy for treatment of COVID-19 patients. CDSCO had offered the institution to take part in 2nd phase of the trial.
Doctor Devender Sharma, Medical Superintendent of Shri Lal bahadur Medical College Nerchowk said that Central Drug Standard Control Organisation has given a Green signal to start this trial in Nerchowk campus and our team is ready for it as per directions. He said that it will be helpful in conducting useful studies to fight COVID-19.
Currently there are no COVID-19 patients being treated here but the institution with the permission is the first in state to start the trial therapy.
