On the basis of a complaint filed over alleged social media posts State CID today lodged an FIR on former Congress legislator Neeraj Bharti booking him under section 124-a, 153-A, 504 and 505 of IPC.
Confirming the development spokesman and Superintendent of Police Dr Khushal Sharma said that FIR was lodged against Bharti at CID Police Station Bharari on charges of sedition, promoting enmity, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and to incite class or community to commit the offence etc.
The complaint was filed against Bharti by a advocate Narinder Guleria who is resident of Anadale Shimla .
” The complainant alleged that Bharti who is son of former Minister and former MP Chander Kumar allegedly uploaded four posts in last 24 hrs on social media with intent to create hatred against the government, by making seditious comments, demeaned, defamed and spread enmity against the government.” confirmed police spokesperson in a press statement issued here today.

The FIR also alleged that the social media posts are an attempt for provocation of people and Indian Armed forces. In the post Bharti has blamed the Government for deliberately getting the soldiers killed. The post is an attempt to create agitation and anger among the commoners by indulging in such rumour mongering against the Government, said the complaint while blaming the Congress leader.
Complaint also submitted four clipping of social media post of MLA in which Bharti on Friday alleged that on the analogy of Pulwama, Indian Army’s Bihar Regiment was deliberately deployed and thus forced to get killed, to entice nationalist emotion for upcoming Bihar polls.
Another clipping of of posting Bharti was quoted saying that as Vajpayee forced to kill our army Jawan in Kargil in the same way …. the ladakh …
Third clippings showing a cut out in the hand of prime minister allegedly depicts the words ” Kal Sham Ko Panch Beje balkoni sai Corona, Cheen or Nepal ko Gali Dena hai ( Corona, China and Nepal would be abused tomorrow evening at five o’clock from the Balcony)

Fourth clipping refered about the followers of Modi and few media anchors how they expected to react if their would not lockdown and boycott the Chinese products.
All the four clipings were also forwarded by the State police spokesman along with press statement for media observation.
