Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that South West Monsoon system is likely to become active in most part of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab by Jun 24 and 25 next week. In a weather bulletin issued here today Shimla Met Office Director Manmohan Singh said that conditions are becoming favourable for further advancement of Monsoon in the region. He said that it is likely to enter over some parts of MP and UP during June 22 and 23.
” It is likely to cover Uttrakhand, most part of Himachal, Haryana and Punjab and east Rajasthan on Jun 24 and 25 .” said Singh.
Since the western disturbances and cyclonic conditions are prevailing in the state rain or thundershowers are likely to occur before the monsoon enter in the state, he added.
