Congress and BJP candidate who are in the fray from Mandi Parliamentary bye election have moveable and immovable assets tune to millions. This disclosure has been made by the two candidates themselves in the affidavits filled with their nominations on October 8, 2021.
Congress candidate and former MP Pratibha Singh from Mandi parliamentary constituency has declared movable and immovable assets about Rs 22 crore, 51 lakh 55 thousand 804 but interestingly she does not have any vehicle on her name.
Pratibha Singh has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 22 crore, 51 lakh 55 thousand 804, movable and immovable assets worth Rs 7 crore 53 lakh 65 thousand 659 and Rs 14 crore 97 lakh 90 thousand 145. She also has 3000 jewelry, gem and stones worth Rs 1 crore 31 lakh 83 thousand 800.
In the name of her husband and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, there are movable assets worth Rs 2 crore 1 lakh 21 thousand 89. Virbhadra Singh has passed away.
Apart from this, there is movable property of Rs 3 crore 61 lakh 35 thousand 456 in the name of co-heirs. This movable property in the name of Virbhadra and co-heirs is in addition to the property of Pratibha Singh.
Pratibha Singh has filled the income of 13 lakh 27 thousand 64 rupees from agriculture in the annual income tax return filed for 2020-21. Which after deduction of tax is shown as 10 lakh 80 thousand 620.
She owns an apartment worth Rs 4 crore 30 lakh in Greater Kailash, New Delhi, which has been attached by the Directorate of Enforcement
Singh along with former chief minister late Virbhadra Singh and other have made accused in a chargesheets have also been filed against them in Delhi’s Patiala House Court by the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate in two cases.
The CBI had registered a case against her under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13(1)(e) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. CBI has framed charges in this case in Patiala House Court of Delhi on 31st March 2017.
Apart from this, the Enforcement Directorate has registered a case against her under Section 3 of the Money Laundering Act.
In this case, the Enforcement Directorate has attached one LIC of one crore and another LIC of 42 lakh 22 thousand 74 rupees of Pratibha Singh on 22 September 2021.
CBI and ED have also attached LIC of her husband of one crore. All this has been disclosed on behalf of Pratibha Singh in the affidavit filled with nomination.
On the other hand, BJP candidate Khushal Singh Thakur, who retired as a Brigadier from the Army, has revealed movable and immovable assets worth Rs. 9 crore 37 lakh 91 thousand 534 in the Election affidavit.
Out of this, he has movable assets worth Rs 62 lakh 91 thousand 534 and immovable assets worth Rs 8 crore 75 lakh.
There is no case registered against them. He has a 7.62 bore pistol. He has three gold rings of 40 grams of gold and a gold chain. He also bought a Mahindra Scorpio car in 2014. Khushal Thakur has also invested Rs 4 lakh 99 thousand in bonds and shares. His wife has two hundred grams of gold ornaments and one crore 15 lakh 94 thousand 776 rupees deposited in bank accounts.
He has movable assets worth one crore 26 lakh 89 thousand rupees. Both the candidates have qualified upto graduation level are locked in directed contest with each other for India’ s second largest parliamentary constituency as the polling to be held on Oct 30.
