Opposition Congress today announced its four party candidates for the upcoming bye-elections in Himachal Pradesh. At Mandi Parliamentary party decided to field Pratibha Singh and in the other three assembly bye poll Sanjay Awasthi from Arki Assembly of Solan district, Rohit Thakur for Jubbal and Kotkhai in Shimla and Bhawani Singh Pathania from Fatehpur assembly for Kangra district.
A press release issued by the Central Election Committee incharge of AICC Mukul Wasnik said that wife of former Chief Minister late Virhhadra Singh Ms Pratibha Singh would be party candidate for Mandi Lok Sabha seat for the byelection to be held on Oct 30. Party also decided to put Raj Narayan Singh Purni for Khandwa(28) LS seat of Madhya Pradesh.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi also approved the proposal of Candidates for Fathepur Assembly Bhawani Singh Pathania, Sanjay Awasthi from Arki Assembly, Rohit Thakur for Jubbal and Kotkhai, in Kangra , Solan and Shimla district of Himachal.
Party president also approved P M Kamalamma party candidate from Badevi (SC) assembly seat of Andhara Pradesh Atirek Kumar from Kusheshwar Asthan(SC), Rajesh Kumar Mishtra from Tarapur of Bihar assembly seat Kallpana Verma from Raigaon (SC) and Mahesh Patel from Jobat (ST) seat of Madhya Pradesh assembly seat.
Ruling BJP could not decid any candidate for four bye election in the state so far.
