The state of Himachal Pradesh witnessing sharp surge in Novel corona virus cases as 2157 were detected positive today and 24 more deaths have been reported. A total of 1305 recovered from the infection.
The highest cases were detected in Kangra district. Here a total of 631 were found positive today. Following behind Hamirpur recorded 300 cases. Solan 264, Mandi 238. Capital Shimla recorded 195 case. Una 118, Sirmour 110 and Kullu witnessed 103 cases today.
Chamba detected 86 cases, Bilaspur 82. Tribal Lahaul & Spiti recorded 17 and Kinnaur 13 cases, were detected in the last 24 hours.
The total death toll in the state has risen to 1374 according to mission Director NHM, Nipun Jindal.
Jindal said that the number of active cases in the state had risen to 15151 with the Kangra district at the top with 3757 cases.
He said that the total number of positive cases in the district has also gone up to 91350 and the total number of recovered patients stood at 74783.
The Mission Director appealed to the people to abide by the COVID guidelines for their safety and thus help the government to combat the CORONA virus.
