The Covid test positivity rate has showed an alarming increase in populated and tourists districts forcing the state government to close Cinema Halls, Multiplex, Sports Complex, Stadiums, Swimming Pools, Gymnasiums to contain the spike.
A report released by the state disaster management authority about daily monitoring of Covid-19 situation in the Himachal on Friday said that the positivity rate of Kullu district is alarmingly 18.1 percent as currently 89 active cases are in the district, Kangra registered 18 pc positivity rate having 607 active cases. Including Hamirpur, three districts of the State figure among positivity rates higher than 10 percent. Hamirpur recorded positivity rate of 13 percent.
Meanwhile capital Shimla district recorded positivity rate of eight percent, Solan 7.6 Mandi 5.3, Chamba 3.3, Sirmaur 4.1 Una 2.9, Bilaspur district 1.7 and Kinnuar and Lahaul Spiti have zero positivity rate.
Overall the State registered a 7.2 pc positivity rate having 1655 active cases. However case fatality ratio is zero, statewide.
State have about 2475 oxygen and 264 ICU beds available currently state occupancy for ICU beds is 6.06 per cent.
