This hill state has witnessed sudden spike in the Covid cases in last year 24hrs as 1038 fresh cases were detected on Monday. Also the positivity rate recorded was 12.1 percent, which is barely a percent less than the National positivity rate of 13. 29 percent in the same period. Spokesperson of State Health Department confirmed that Covid active cases mounted to 4186 on January 10 compared to 3148 active case of previous day.
Districts recording more than the cumulative National positivity rate were Solan 21 percent (609 active cases) and Sirmaur 20.3 with percent (321 active cases). Hamirpur 17.7 percent (449), Shimla 17 (427), Kullu -15.4 (215) and Kangra 15.3 (1265).
Among lower than the National rate were Una 8.6 percent (281), Bilaspur 7.5 (185), Mandi 5.8 (267) and Chamba 5.6 percent (93 active cases) respectively.
Case fatality rate of state was 0.3 and Mandi district 1.3.
Only 1.3 per cent Oxygenated and 10.95 pc ICU beds were occupied in the state.
