In wake of Covid restrictions Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi today fixed nine hours schedule for operating of shops and markets in the district.
Releasing an order today, Negi said that to deal with covid, the time of opening of shops in the district has been fixed from 10 am to 7 pm(1000 hrs to 1900hrs).
All good eateries or Dhabas would remain open till 10 pm(2200hrs while on the National Highway could operate 10 am to 11 pm.
The medicine shops would be opened and closed in due course but there would be no restrictions.
Motor mechanic and tire repair shops would remain open till 11 pm.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that all educational institutions, engineering, polytechnical institutes, coaching institutes and residential schools in the district will remain closed till January 26, 2022 however nursing and medical colleges will remain open in compliance with the covid standard operations.
He said that the working of 5 days has been implemented in all government offices, public sector undertakings, local bodies and autonomous organizations.
He also order to ensure that office strength would be 50 percent employees in the office.  He said that this restriction will not be applicable in the departments related to essential services.
He said that there will be a complete ban on langar, dham, community kitchen in religious places and other areas. For sports, educational, entertainment and cultural and political activities, the presence of a maximum of 100 people will be allowed in indoor with 50 percent capacity and 50 percent capacity or maximum gathering of 300 people in outdoor.  He said that it would be mandatory to take prior permission in this regard from the local administration.
He directed the Police, Sub-Divisional Officers, Development Block Officers, District Food Controller to ensure compliance of these orders.
He said that action would be taken as per rules against those who disobey these orders.
He appealed to the people that in view of the third wave of covid-19, the process of wearing masks, maintaining social distance, sanitizing hands and washing hands should be ensured in compliance with the special standard operations.
He said that unnecessary crowds should not be allowed to gather and avoid going to crowded areas.
