Covid cases and death toll broke all previous records in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday as 33 people died and 2539 new corona virus cases detected positive on Wednesday .
The highest cases like previous day were detected in Kangra district. Here a total of 693 were found positive today. Following behind today was Sirmaur 295 cases. Mandi 292, Solan 283, Capital Shimla recorded 215 cases,1 Bilaspur 207, Una 182, Kullu 109 and Hamirpur 108, Chamba 93 , Kinnaur 50 and Lahaul Spiti 12 cases today.
The total death toll in the state has risen to 1407 informed mission Director NHM, Nipun Jindal. 16 People died in Kangra district, four each in Solan and Mandi, Shimla three, two each in Sirmaur, Una and Hamirpur
Jindal said that the number of active cases in the state had risen to 16098 with the Kangra district at the top with 4084 cases.
He said that the total number of positive cases in the district has also gone up to 93889 and the total number of recovered patients stood at 76335
The Mission Director appealed to the people to abide by the COVID guidelines for their safety and thus help the government to combat the CORONA virus.
