Ruling BJP former member of Assembly MLA Narendra Bragta’s son Chetan Bragta who was denied ticket by party on Wednesday has decided to fight bye election as an Independent candidate.
A message forward on Social Media page Chetan Bragta has appealed his supporters to attend nomination filling gathering at Kharapather on Friday at 930 hrs.
There are strong resentment among supporters of former MLA over denying of ticket to Chetan Bragta however party senior leader have directed him 15 days after demise of Narindra Bragta to prepare for the poll. Chetan Bragta was attending party public meetings for last one month in the capacity of a probable party contender.
It was stated that number of party workers and Supporter of former MLA gathered at residence of Bragta today and asked him to go solo as party has done grave injustice to him by denying him ticket and playing with the sentiment of agreived family members .
It has been learnt that Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP president Suresh Kashyap asked Bragta to meet them at Oakover residence of CM thursday evening but he decided to not attend the meeting.
Party supporters hailing to Bragta camp urged him to not turn up in the meeting with CM and party president since they have nothing to offer him.
There is reports that a other party candidate and contender of ticket and former MLA Govind Sharma also may file nomination at Arki on friday as independent candidate against the official candidate of BJP Mr Rattan Pall and Congress party candidate Sanjay Awasthi.
