Forty four new cases of nCoV tested positive in the state on Thursday recording a spike of more than 100 cases in last 24 hrs and tally to 1789 , a senior office of Government confirmed.
Additional Chief Secretary Health R D Dhiman said that 42 cases have been registered in the Sirmaur district and two in Chamba. Moreover result of 198 samples taken yesterday is yet awaited.
Now total number of cases mounted to 1769 including 630 active and 1112 cured in the state. Ten people have lost life due to Covid -19 so far and 15 others migrated outside the state.
As many as 42 new cases has been identified positive out of total 278 sent for testing to doctor Y.S. Parmar of Medical college, Nahan. Among 42 cases 34 belong to Gobindgarh mahalla from Nahan , 6 from Paonta and 2 from Dadaahu. Out of 34 cases from Gobindgarh mahalla 15 are males and 19 females. Total active cases in Sirmour district have reached 132.
Tally rose to 172 in Sirmaur district 125 active and 40 recovered. Most of cases belonged to Govindgarh Mohala of Nahan town.
Similarly tally went up to 86 in Chamba including 21 active and 61 recovered.Â
