Himachal Pradesh High court extended anticipatory bail to SHO Nadaun Neeraj Rana who was absconding after giving slip to state vigilance and anti corruption sleuth wanted in graft charges. A bench of Himachal Pradesh high court comprising of Justice Chandar Bhushan Barowalia extended anticipatory bail to Rana while hearing the matter today.
SHO was absconding allegedly when SV&ACB team tried to nab him while serving as SHO
Nadaun in a graft case and he gave slip to the team by making attempt to ram them under his private vehicle. State Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu had ordered to constitute a SIT to nab him and probe the sensitive matter. Superintendent of Police Hamirpur constituted a SIT for arresting Inspector Neeraj Rana and probe into the matter.
DGP had also ordered to send the matter of the absconding SHO to SP Economic Offence Wing(EOW) for taking up the issue further with Enforcement Directorate (ED) for an exemplary action.
