Giving little hope to tourism sector of Himachal Pradesh hotels will be opened for guest for non-tourism purpose,” stated an order by Disaster Management cell of the State government today. It states that hotels will be allowed to operate for housing of person visiting state for officials, business purpose. Also local residents of state can stay in hotels. However tourist from other states shall not be welcomed, stated the order.
Also the order allowed Dhabas/ restaurants to start operating at 60% of their seating capacity and in accordance with SOPs to be issued by department of tourism.
Related to movement of vehicles the order stated that free inter district movement of public transport, private vehicles, taxis and autos is allowed. However state carrier transport will allowed tooperate on 60% capacity, reads the order.
“ The residents of the state can exit state without permit. But is they intend to visit other state for shorter duration for medical, business or office purpose and intend to come back to state within 48hours, they may exit the state with permit and return without any requirement of quarantine, provided they asymptomatic, clarifies the order.
“Even religious places shall be open for local residents of the state and that too after necessary SOPs have been issued by department of Language art and culture,” reads the order.
