HP CM announces constitution of ‘General category commission’

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced to constitute a ‘general category commission’ in the state on the demand of number of protesting members of this community.
Making a Suo moto statement in the house during post launch session of state assembly  Thakur said “Large numbers of people belonging to General section of society cordoned the Assembly seeking demand of constitution of Sawaron Ayog.”  Adding, that the people of the general category in Himachal Pradesh had been demanding for a long time that in order to solve the various problems of the people of the general category, in the state  General Category Commission should be constituted.  The present state government is committed to the economic and social upliftment of every section of the society, he added.
The government has run many schemes for the welfare of all sections, so that they can get equal opportunities for progress and development.  “I urge the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony,” he asserted.  Himachal Pradesh for peaceful atmosphere and peace loving people.  Not only in the country but also famous all over the world.  I urged all the people of the state not to do any such work, so that this image of the state is not tarnished in any way, he added.
“Our government has decided that a general category commission will be constituted in Himachal Pradesh, the notification of which is being issued immediately,” he assured.
The address of Chief minister, was welcomed by members of treasure benches by beating tables. Congress MLA Vikramaditya who supported the demands during Budget session this year was not present in the house however no others in opposition displayed any response on the CM’s announcement  in the house.
