New cases are pouring in large numbers in the hill state after migration of people from the high loaded Virus cities continues. Ninteen new cases figured in last 24 hrs increasing the tally to 470 in the state, senior medical officer confirmed.
Additional Chief Secretary Health and Nodal Officer of Covid-19 R D Dhiman said that 19 cases tested positive in the state including eight in Kangra, Three in Una two each in Hamirpur, Solan and Chamba and one each in Shimla and Sirmaur district.
He said that With eight new case from Kangra district total number of cases increased to 126 in the district including 58 active and 67 cured.
In Hamirpur district two found positive include a male of Jamloti village and another woman of Chahal village of Nadaun area of the district were under Home quarantine since their arrival in the district.
While Jamloti man aged 32 years had come from Delhi on June 8th, the woman aged 31 years had come from Gurugram (Haryana) on June 7th, according to an official spokesman.
He said that samples of both persons were taken on June 8th and were found positives today. He said that both would be sent to the COVID care center at NIT, Hamirpur for isolation and treatment.
In Solan district a truck driver hailed from Nalagarh was in quarantine and second is Ex-Gram Panchayat Pradhan from Madi tested positive today and their samples were taken yesterday.
In Una with three new cases increased to 57 including 21 active and 36 recovered, Solan total 37, 8 active and 25 cured and in Chamba 34, 11 and 23 respectively.
Till date about 470 positive cases of COVID-19 were found in the state including 177 active cases. About 276 people have recovered from the Pandemic.
Dhiman said that 26 People recovered on Thursday.
As many as seven people died of Covid -19 in the state and 11 positive migrated to other states which include seven from Sirmaur and four from Solan.
Currently District Hamirpur which reported maximum 126 cases have 40 active patients and 85 recovered followed by Kangra 126 , 58 and 67 respectively.
