Himachal Pradesh Police claimed to have busted a gang indulged in cheating gullibles by alluring them to provide an attractive gift package on payment of heavy charges on the basis of lucky draw coupon scheme
Superintendent of police Shimla Monika Bhutunguru informed here on Friday that a case was booked on September 6 based on a complaint by the victim that she was dupe for Rs 1.40 lakh along with his spouse in allurement of Lucky Draw Scheme by some accused.
A complaint was also registered by the victim on August 27, 2021 alleging that victim was in Shimla town along her husband when they met some people who told them about the lucky coupon scheme.
“They were asked to scratch the lucky coupon to get some gift by the accused. In lucky coupon they got to get the 10 year package in different states in which they can visit any one state once a year. On this allurement they agreed and paid Rs. 1,40,000/- as a membership charges.” complainant alleged.
However when, later, the complainant searched about the authenticity of the firm, they came to know that they are being cheated, informed the SP.
During the course of investigation Police has recovered all the documents and material pertaining to lucky coupon scheme including laptop, swipe machine and different type of forms.
Shimla police has arrested following accused in the case including a (1) Nitesh Kumar Yadav (29yrs) S/o . Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav R/o Village Gopideeh, P.O. Chandan, Tehsil Chandan District Baanka Bihar, (2) Rajnikant Pandey(25) S/o Late Ramji Pandey R/o V.P.O. Lovadeeh P.S. Karamdeen Tehsil. Mohammadabad, District Gazipur UP, (3) Arun Chaudhary (27) S/o Yashveer Chaudhary R/o H.No. 19 Alley, No. 05, A-1 block, Santnagar, Buradi, North Delhi, (4) Amrish Dube(27) S/o Bashista Dube R/o Quarter No. 11/6, six unit, P.O. Colony Bokari Thermal, PS Bokaro Thermal District Bokaro, Jharkhand. (5) Nishtha Kumari(27) D/o Deepan Singh R/o Village Thuthi, P.O.Lohari, PS.Choparan, District Hazari Baag Jharkhand.
All the accused were arrested by the state police from their hideouts and kept in Sadar Police station who would be produced before the court today, she added
