High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced light rain deeping down the mercury by 4-5 degrees in last 24 hrs moreover South West Monsoon which remained dormant or subdued during last one week lashed many places across the state.
The gateway to Lahual Spiti district, 13050 feet high Rohtang Pass and other high peaks of Lahaul Spiti district got mild to light spell of snowfall decreasing the mercury in the state by four to five degrees in last 24 hrs.
South West Monsoon which was subdued in last one week revived in the state as many places got intermittent rainfall since Sunday night however it turned mainly dry and sunny in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Met Office recorded61 mm rainfall at Guler and 50 mm in Palampur of Kangra district.
Bhoranj in Hamirpur had 39 mm, Dharmpur in Solan and Nahan in Sirmaur 38 mm each, Bilaspur 36 mm, Naina Devi 34 mm, Sangrah in Sirmaur 33 mm, Arki in Solan 32 mm, Nagrota Suriyan in Kangra 31 mm, Dharmshala 27 mm, Jogindernagar 25 mm, Kothi , Banjar and Gohar 24 mmKahu in Hamipur & Gaggal in Kangra 23 mm.
Una and Kasuli in Solan 20 mm each, Jubbal in Shimla 18 mm, Ghamroor in Kangra and Bhuntarin Kullu 17 mm each, Berthin in Bilaspur , Mashobra in Shimla and Mandi 16 mm each and Pandohor Mandi and tourist resort Kufri 14 mm.
Report of rainfall is also from other parts of state. Fresh rainfall and snowfall on the high reaches drastically dipped Mercury.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was 9.4 degrees and four degree below normal, Kalpa 12.4 degrees and two degree down, Shimla 15.4 degrees was 2.2 degrees below yesterday.
Manali 12.2 degrees and four degrees from normal, Tourist resort Kufri was 11.7 degrees recordes a dip of 1.5 degree, Bhuntar 18.2 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 20.6 degrees, Dharmshala 18.6 degrees, , Una 20.5 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 21.3 degrees, Solan 18.8 degrees, Kangra 19.2 degrees, Mandi 19 degrees, Chamba 20.5 degrees Bilaspur 22 degrees and Hamirpur 22.6 degrees.
Maximum temperature of Shimla was 17.7 degree on Tuesday as against 25.4 of Monday, Sunderngar 24.8 degrees, Bhuntar 20.2 degrees (dip by 11 degrees) , Kalpa 11.5 degrees, eight degree down Dharmshala 25.2 degrees, Una 31 degrees and Nahan 24 degrees.
Solan was 30 degrees, Kangra 25.7 degrees, Bilaspur 25 degrees, and eight degree down, Hamirpur 24.8 degrees, Chamba 25.7 degrees and eight degrees down, Dalhousie 16.4 degrees seven degree down and Keylong 10.8 degrees and 16 degree below normal.
The Met Office forecast rain or thundershower at few places in mid and foot hills and isolated placesin the high reaches .
