South West Monsoon System is likely to set in Himachal Pradesh between Jun 20 to 25 stated the Indian Meteorological Department here today.
South West Monsoon System which is currently confined to Peninsular region of country is likely to advance in Himachal Pradesh in between Jun 20 to 25 at its normal time.
IMD projected normal monsoon rains in the state in its earlier forecast, the state currently having premonsoon showers as many places are being lashed by heavy down pour along with thunderstorms.
Met Office recorded 34 mm rain at Dehragopipur in Kangra, Ghumarwin in Bilaspur 11 mm, Mehre in Kangra and Dalhousie in Chamba had six mm rain each, Kheri six and Bhatyiat four mm.
Thunder strom recorded in many places of Kangra, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi , Solan and Sirmuar.
Maximum temperature was 37.8 degrees today, Kangra 36.7 degrees, Bilaspur 36.5 degrees, Hamirpur 36.2 degrees, Sundernagar 35.3 degrees Chamba 34.8 degrees, Bhuntar 34.7 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 31.8 degrees, Dharmshala 27.6 degrees, Shimla 25.2 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar 24.7 degrees, Dalhousie 21.9 degrees and Keylong 20.7 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24 hrs.
