Deputy Commissioner DC Rana informed that seven routes have been granted by the state government for the operation of boat ferries for water transport operations for the convenience of the people in the reservoir of the Chamera Phase-I power project. In a press release issued here today, DC Chamba said that govt allowed to run a boat ferry on the Ghadoti-Thadi, Kihei (Chaklu)-Seru, Kihei (Chaklu)-Tipri, Plehi-Bragal, Plehi-Taleru via Bragal, Gatha-Dharrodhi and Lachodi-Mohal route to facilitate local people and Tourists on Chamera Dam.
He said that all these seven public waterways are to be leased out through open bidding for the operation of boats. The persons willing to participate in the bidding process can appear in the office of the Deputy Commissioner on 18th April at 3 PM. More information can be obtained from the website of the district administration.
