Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences,
private university from Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, has topped
the country in the 2021 QS Asian University Rankings in terms of
citations per paper.
The university obtained a score of 99.02 and was ranked 14th in Asia for the ranking indicator ‘citations per paper’. Ovreall, the university ranked 291 to 300 in Asia.
The university said that it is the only institute from the state to be
ranked in the list, and has been ranked 38th overall among all
universities and institutions of India.
National University of Singapore (NUS) topped the rankings, followed
by Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
(NTU). According to the rankings, Indian Institute of Technology
Bombay is the best institute in India and ranked 37th in Asia.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is an independent global ranking
organisation for educational institutions and its Asia rankings were
declared Wednesday night during an online event.
