Lahaul Spiti district administration sounded travel advisory for tourists expected to visit the hill state, in-wake of Indian Metrological department forecast of heavy snowfall on Oct 23 & 24 and again on Oct. 27 & 28 in the tribal areas of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur district.
Deputy commissioner Lahaul Spiti district Neeraj Kumar said that Manali-Sarchu road has not opened yet and in this scenario if snowfall takes place, it is likely to be closed till first week of November. He said that National Highway no-3 between Manali-Leh Highway won’t open till 1st week of November for all types of vehicles.

Heavy snowfall prediction exists on 23 and 24 October 2021 followed by snow again on 27th and 28th October 2021.
Around 85 Tourist who are stranded in various tribal roads are in Oct 17 & 18 snowfall were evacuated today after clearing of snow.
