The fund starved MC Shimla has once again proposed to implement Green fee from visitors to the city. The same has been pending with the state government since past 2 years. This issue of green fee has been hanging in line of fire since a while when the previous left led MC house had also tried to implement it, but was cancelled amidst opposition.The MC Shimla is expected to make an additional income of 15-20crore from this move.
As per sources Green fee will only be implemented after the entire city mapped with CCTV cameras. However how soon will it be done is yet unknown.

2-wheel – Rs 100/-
4-Wheel (Small) – Rs 200/-
SUV/Pickup – Rs 300/-
Heavy vehicles – Rs 500/-
