State government issues amended SOPs for oncoming tourists Read below

Easing out norms further for oncoming tourists in the state government (tourism) has issued amended guidelines. Earlier the state government had announced that instead of 5 days compulsory stay the visitors are allowed to visits even for two nights. Adding to it, the tourism department amended guidelines state that the tourists can visit multiple locations in the two night stay.  Also that, The driver, who is dropping a tourist will be now exempted from quarantine, even if he is plying a private vehicle.

About testing

The guidelines state that a RT-PCR test from a accredited/authorized lab within a period of 96 hours shall be valid for a tourist interested to visit Himachal Pradesh. ” However children below 10 years of age are exempted from compulsory testing provided the accompanying adults have been tested,” states the amended SOP further.

About e-pass

As per the guidelines IT department shall modify e-pass software to generate separate consolidated list of application under ‘Tourists’ category. The respective district administration shall scrutinize the same within 24 hours. Or else it shall be deemed to be approved and the software shall automatically reply the approval to applicant states the order.

About hotels protocol in case of positive case

” In case a COVID positive guest is found/detected in a tourism unit, then that particular room where he/she was staying shall be sealed for 24 hours after deep cleaning. Further all places he/she has visited in previous 48 hours shall also be deep cleaned,” reads the amended order.

After the state government directives giving relaxation for incoming tourists, the concerned department of tourism and civil aviation has issued amended SOP for the same.
