A devastating fire broke out in Purbani village under Kalpa subdivision of Kinnuar district in Himachal Pradesh this afternoon gutting down ten wooden carving old architecture houses , the senior official of district administration said.
The fire broke out from a house in Purbani village of Kinnuar district gutting seven houses completely and three partly this afternoon, DC Kinnuar Gopal Chand and sub divisional Magistrate Kalpa Abnidner Kumar supervised the rescue operation.
The affected village was not well connected with the road forcing the Civil Defense, Army and fire brigades to deploy water lifting pumps automatic spray pumps and other equipments by the local to control the fire.
District Public Relation Officer Narendra Sharam informed that seven house out of ten affected by the fire was completely gutted, forcing four families living in them to shift to safer places. The cause of fire is still not known. Due to the wooden structure fire spread in the houses.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed grief over the fire incident and directed the district administration to provide immediate relief of Rs. 10,000 to each family and rehabilitation to the affected families. He assured that all possible help would be provided to the affected families.
