Thunderstorm and heavy rainfall lashes many parts of HP

Many places in the state recorded widespread rainfall in  last 24 hrs ending the dry spell and sweltering heatwave condition in the state. Rain was witnessed in Solan,Hamirpur, Mandi,Kangra, Sirmaur, Shimla and Chamba district.
Kandaghat in Solan had 61 mm rain, Aghar in Hamirpur 46 mm, Baldwara in Mandi 42 mm, Sarkaghat & Nadaun in Hamirpur 35  mm each, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 34 mm.
This capital town had Shimla 31 mm rain, Sundernagar in Mandi 30 mm, Pachhad in Sirmaru, Kasauli in Solan & Theog in Shimla -27  mm each, Kufri & Rajgarh in Sirmaur 26  mm each, Hamirpur 22 mm, Bharmaur in Chamba, Solan & Amb in Una 20 mm each, Sangrah in Sirmaur & Gaggal in Kangra 17 mm each, Chhatrari in Chamba & Narkanda in Shimla 15 mm each, Saloni, Palampur & Dharmpur-13 each, Jatton Barrage, Kheri, Dalhousie-12 each, Khadrala & Sujanpur Tira-11 each, Jhandutta, Bajura and Bhuntar-
10 each.
Maximum temperature fall by three to four degrees of normal after heavy spell or rain and thundershowers. A uprooted Deodar tree damaged two vehicle parked near Panthaghati outskirt of Shimla on Monday evening. No loss of life is reported.
Power and water supply also disrupted due to inclement weather in many places in the state.
Maximum temperature of Shimla was 19.6 degrees Sundernagar 29.6 degrees, Bhuntar 24.6 degrees, Kalpa 14.6 degrees, Dharamshala 29.4 degrees, Una 33.4 degrees( seven degrees below normal).
Maximum temperature of Nahan in Sirmaur was 29 degrees, Solan 25.5 degrees, Kangra 31.3 degrees,  Bilaspur  33.8 degrees,  Hamirpur 32.2 degrees( 12 degree down) Chamba 29.5 degrees 13 degree down) Dalhousie in  Chamba 17 degrees, Keylong 15.3 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast rain or thundershower in many places of mid hills and few places of foot hills and high reaches in next 24 hrs.
