A toddler went missing from out skirt of the capital town on Thursday, he is expected to have fallen prey to a Leopard however the incident could not be be ascertained.
Superintendent of police Shimla Monica Bhatanguru said that Police received an information on Police Helpline 112 that a five year-old son of Kedarnath resident of Downdale Fagli has gone missing.
A Rescue team comprising of head constable Vaishnu Pratap along with, others was rushed to spot for searching the missing child.
SP said that they verified that Kedarnath’s son Yograj ( 5) years was playing outside the house and another small child who told the police that the animal took the child (Yograj) away.
During search for the child, the child’s pant has been found about 100 feet below the residence and no other clue has been found so far.
About 50 policemen along with quick response team (QRT) is searching for the missing child, trail of blood has been found in the forest area near the spot.
So far, no conclusive evidence has been found to conclude regarding missing incident however a child who was playing with the missing child has stated that some animal has taken away his companion.
A team of Forest Department has also been associated in this regard. The search for the child is still going on.
State police also informed last midnight that a child from Kodi Mohalla Shimla named Yograj age about five years S/o Kedarnath Downdale Fagli, Shimla was playing with another child at home at 2230hrs when a Leopard picked up him.
Police search team searched are trying their best, but no trace of the child has been found yet.
