Two Nepali labourers died under police station Jhakri at Mashnoo village in Rampur subdivision of Shimla district, police sources said.
Two persons identified as Resham son of Ganesh resident of village Thara mari District Salyan Anchal Rapti and Vishal of village Gorai up- mahapalika district Dang Anchal Rapti Nepal came under the grip of lightning and died on the spot.
Both the victim were residing in the house of one Shishupal of Mashnoo village of Rampur Tehsil, police added.
Thunder showers and lighting hit some parts of Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hrs .
Gram Panchayat Pardhan of Mashnoo Vibha Naram informed that on Tuesday at around 1930hrs, heavy rain and devastating lightning hit them when deceased were returning back to their home.
They were taking shelter under a tree and at the same time suddenly lightning occured on the same tree and they both came under the grip of lightning and died on the spot.
Local people brought bodies of deceased to Civil Hospital Sarahan and kept in dead house. Postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.
No foul play and cognizable offence come to notice of Police so far however proceedings u/s 174 CrPC is going on.
