Shimla, May 11
A 56-yrs old employee was found lying dead on roadside in the outskirts of this capital town on Tuesday who was rushed to IGMC and was declared Covid positive in the autopsy said police authorities.
According to the police, they were informed about a man lying near the
green park area in Khalini at around 1800 hrs. Officials from the Police
Station East went to the spot and found the victim lying unconscious
on the side of a link road.
He was taken to IGMC hospital in Shimla where a medical officer declared him brought dead and also found that he was covid positive.
Upon inquiry, the deceased was identified as Sarjeet Singh, an
employee of the central public works department.Â
His parents have been informed about the death, and the body has been shifted to the mortuary, added the police.
