Himachal Pradesh Police registered a FIR against a retired IPS Officer for abusing
a medical officer on Jun 24 when the victim was performing his official duty and collecting home quarantine samples.
Superintendent of Police Shimla Omapati Jamwal said that FIR has been lodged under section 118, 504 of IPC and section 3(1) of epidemic disease Act at police station Kumarsen against Dalbir Singh Yadav.
The accused is reported a retired IPS officer and belonged to Etawah of UP. He was staying in the residence of DFO Kotgarh. On JUN 24 around 1730 hrs when a home quarantine sampling checking team led by Medical Officer Dr Ankush Thakur arrived at DFO residence Kotgarh the accused not only refused to give the samples moreover abused and use the foul language against the MO.Â
The FIR was lodged against the Yadav on Friday on the e-mail complaint lodged by Dr Ankush Thakur. The booked officer was staying with his son at at Kotgarh and arrived here on Jun 9, 2020. The Investigation is going against in the matter.
