The Vehicular traffic has been stalled at five places after heavy snowfall in snowcity Narkanda in Shimla diverting traffic on an alternate route Basantpur to Sainj today, Police Officer said.
Superintendent of police Mohit Chawla said that Tourist resort Narkanda had 15 cm snowfall over night. The road became highly slippery and risky to allow traffic on Hindustan Tibet National Highway at five places and keeping safety of people traffic was diverted via Basantpur-Sainj alternative road.
He directed people to not ply vehicle on this road and in case of emergency take alternative route.
High reaches Shimla, Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, Kharapather recording frequent spell of Snowfall as weather was inclement in the state.
Moreover Sub Divisional Officer Gunjeet Singh Cheema ordered to keep the traffic off on the highway untill Administeration did not announce to open the snow bound road.
 Manalie-Leh and Chamba-Pangi and many others roads are already blocked in the state due to recent fresh snowfall.
