Himachal Pradesh registered more cases overnight as 5 new cases surfaced till filing of the report. Four were traced in Mandi district and 1 from Hamirpur stated senior Officer of Government said today. Additional Chief Secretary Health R D Dhiman confirmed that with tracing of five new cases total tally went up by 173 including 110 active.
Chief Medical Officer of Mandi Dr Jivanand Chauhan said that four persons have tested positive in Mandi. All 4 have returned from Mumbai. Out of these 3 were in institutional quarantined at Ladbhadol after their arrival. One person, belongs to Ropri area of Sarkaghat subdivision, was also institutional quarantined at Baldwara but shifted to Nerchowk Medical College on 21st May due to chest pain. All these patient shifted to SLBSGMCH, he informed.
The one from Hamirpur is reported to be 72 year old wife of a already positive 75 year old patient. Reportedly the lady was under treatment for Liver ailment and had visited Jallandhar for treatment in the first week of May. After her husband testing positive, she was isolated in Hamirpur initially. However later she was referred to IGMC Shimla, where she was tested COVID-19 positive.
Now the total number of cases have increased to 61 in Hamirpur District with 56 active , 43 in Kangra including 30 active, Una 19 with two active cases, Solan 14 and five active cases, Chamba 13 with three active cases, Bilaspur seven with five active cases, Mandi ten with eight active cases, Sirmaur four with two active cases, Kullu one with one active cases and Shimla one with no active cases.
With this total active cases have increased to 110 State recorded four deaths and 55 patients have cured so far in the state.
