Today evening 3 males from Chamba aged 24, 32 and 33 years from Salooni area of the district Chamba have tested positive for COVID 19 taking the number of total patients to 58, confirmed officials. They all are contacts of already positive case from the area.
Earlier a 22 year sister of primary contact of a patient who was tested positive on 8th of May in village Jheerball in Kangra had been tested positive, confirmed officials.
Late Saturday night two cab drivers had tested positive.
A 36 year old male, driver by occupation, travelling from Ahmedabad 2 days back has been tested positive from Bilaspur district last night. The driver was destined to reach Baijnath.
Another 46 year old male, driver by occupation, travelling from Gururgram 2 days back (destined for Mandi) has also tested positive at Bilaspur border. Both tests have been conducted at IGMC Shimla.
One driver who was going to Baijnath in Kangra district was carrying 5 passengers in car and he started from Ahmedabad and belongs to Gujarat. Another who was going to Mandi carrying three passengers belongs to Mandi district and had started from Gurugram yesterday. All passengers are at Bilaspur district border in quarantine and samples of all 8 passengers have been taken.
Also on Saturday night a 52 year old male with symptoms with travel history from Delhi 3 days back and admitted in Dr RKGMC Hamirpur had tested positive.
Another Lung cancer patient on last stage of disease died in Bhoranj (Tikkri Mimmasa village) of Hamirpur died. He was on home quarantine as he returned from Delhi on April 29,2020.His samples has been taken today after death and reports awaited
The total count in the state has reached 58. Now 17 active cases.
