Himachal Pradesh Police today claimed busting of a Inter state Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances(NDPS) gang comprising of five persons. The gang was active in the state of Himachal, Rajasthan and Maharastra. The police claims seizure of 1.145 kg Charas and two vehicles from thier possession.
Disclosing the busting of this major NDPS gang consisting of suppliers, pedellors and purchasers
the state police in collaboration with Rajasthan police succeeded in cracking this major interstates NDPS  racket involving three states.
Superintendent of Police and Police Spokesman Kushal Sharma informed that a FIR was registered on July 5, 2020 under section 8, 20 and 29 of NDPS Act at police station Harmada of Jaipur district Rajasthan after arrest of duo accused Vishal Kumar Son of Ramesh Chand of Village Jol, post office Bhoranj Hamirpur  and Verinder Pall alias Pankaj Kumar with a consignment of 1.145 kg illicit Charas.
The state CID department was informed by the Rajasthan Police that it wanted a drug supplier Amar in a NDPS seizure. The suspect belonged to Kullu as per police statement of arrested accused.Â
During the police interrogation the Duo also revealed that on allurement of money they had accepted the job of supplying the consignment of Amar to two suspected persons.
Based on the information Rajasthan Police succeeded in nabbing two suspected persons (purchasers) from Jaipur next day. The nabbed two persons are identified as Swapnil Deepak Phanase and Mohit Satyawan Patil, both residents of Mumbai.
Simulatnously the State Narcotics Control Cell (SNCC) here swung into action to identify the supplier Amar in the state. It came to be known that one person of similar name was living in the Kasol area of Kullu. The Bureau immediately constituted a team which took details of the mobile number of the suspect and put his phone on call detail record (CDR) and his location on survillance.Â
Team of SNCC succeeded to trace the accused who was engaged by a Hotel Kamal of Kasol and a Hotel in Manikaran at Pulagh area.
The accused reportedly was a known notorious for supplying drugs during the tourist season. Following his activities SNCCÂ team nabbed him on July 11. After interrogation the accused was handed over to Rajasthan police for further investigation.Â
The joint police teams from both states states succeeded in nabbing these five persons i.e trio of supplier, carrier and purchaser thus busting the mystery of this racket within a week , he added.
