Solan, March 13
Lashing out at Chief Minister Jairam Thakur for reportedly misleading people by making irresponsible statements, Pradesh Congress committee president Kuldeep Rathore today said that it appeared that chief minister is ‘on the horn of dilemma’ over establishing his credibility among the masses.
Talking to media persons here today, Rathore along with Former minister Dr DR Shandil, Harsh Vardhan, Kewal Singh Pathania, DCC president Shiv Kumar, Ramesh Chauhan said that Jai Ram should refrain from issuing irresponsible statements concerning the spending of Rs. 12 crores during Corona pandemic. If the chief minister has any documents alleging Congress for spending of 12 crores during the Corona period, then he should make it public, they stated. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is continuously accusing the Congress without any basis. Congress has constantly been giving clarification on the issue but now the situation has been reached to its peak, added these leaders.
Congress state president Kuldeep Singh Rathore turned furious over the question asked about the chief minister statements during a press conference in Solan.
He said that Congress had never claimed about spending Rs. 12 crores. Chief Minister Thakur had said in a public meeting held in Solan recently that the state government spent about Rs 13 crore during the Corona period, but the Congress has allegedly sent details worth Rs 12 crore spending to its party high command, whereas the money was not spent and no help was extended to public.
Rathore took a dig at Chief Minister Thakur and said that instead, the Chief Minister should give the account of the money spent during the period of Corona by the government.
He termed Chief Minister Jairam Thakur as the ‘Hoardings’ chief minister. He quipped that the BJP calls Shanta Kumar as the water provider and Prem Kumar Dhumal as the Chief Minister of the road construction, and now Jai Thakur can be called the Chief Minister of ” Hoarding” because the BJP government is spending crores of rupees on installing hoardings with false data and figures. He said that Congress would prepare a vision document to counter the false propaganda of BJP. Rathore said that list of this key aspirants for MC polls would be sent to AICC for final approval.
