A lady aged around 57 years has tested COVID-19 positive in the Ghurkari Chowk Area of Kangra Sub-Division on Thursday. All her contacts are being identified and their samples will also be taken for resting. Revealing this Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati told here at Dharamshala that she, along with two other family members and one person from Naduan area, had arrived in a taxi.
The total positive case count has now moved up to 70 and ‘Active’ cases are 29 now.
Also today Kangra has equalled with Una for having the highest number of positive cases among districts. Till date Una district has recorded 17 cases, Chamba 12, Kangra recorded 17, Solan 9, Hamirpur 6, now Sirmaur 4, Bilaspur and Mandi 2 each and Shimla one.
Prajapati told that 157 people, who arrived from Banglore were kept at institutional quarantine after medical examination. Out of these 97 are kept at Jwalamukhi, 18 at Rakkar and 42 at Kangra. A decision has been taken to keep people coming from red zone at institutional quarantine, including people having flu symptoms from orange and zone. People coming from Baddi-Barotiwala will also be kept in institutional quarantine. Random samples of people arriving from other states are also being taken.
